PETALING JAYA: It is not easy for a singer to remain as one of the most sought-after stars after being in the entertainment industry for two decades. But singer-songwriter Emil Chau Wakin, who is marking his 20th year in the industry, has proven that he has what it takes for he has remained popular all these years. Chau, who is well known for such hits as Friends, Reluctant To Go, Sad Song and I Will Marry You Tomorrow, will be in Kuala Lumpur for his “Wakin 20th Anniversary Live in Malaysia 2007” concert on July 14. “The concert is not only meaningful but also has huge significance for me and my fans. I appreciate their undivided and unconditional support over the years. “Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today,” Chau said in a statement yesterday. The event, organised by Galaxy Group with Sports Toto and Ogawa as joint presenters, will be held at the Bukit Jalil Putra Indoor Stadium. A ticket pre-sale will be held at the Boulevard at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow at 3pm, where the first batch of the best seats will go on sale. The first 200 early birds who purchase tickets worth a total of RM500 and above are entitled to limited edition silver coins in commemoration of the concert.
